The original cylinder head bolts are torque-to-yield and must be replaced every time they are removed. This not only increases costs but is also inconvenient, especially if the head is removed more than once for diagnostics or additional engine work.

ARP 204-3901 solves this problem with a set of bolts designed for multiple reuse, while also providing higher strength and better protection against damage compared to standard OEM bolts.

ARP uses high-quality 8740 alloy steel, which is significantly stronger than many materials advertised as "aircraft quality." Each bolt is precision heat-treated to 200,000 psi, then centerless ground for maximum geometric accuracy and excellent concentricity.

In small-displacement engines with high compression ratios, as well as engines with forced induction such as turbochargers or superchargers, proper sealing between the cylinder head and the block is absolutely critical. This is where ARP provides a real advantage.
