APR presents the High-Flow Turbo Muffler Delete for various 1.8T and 2.0T engines equipped with an IHI turbocharger.
As is often the case, many OEM components are designed with a compromise between performance, comfort, and the mass market demands. While enthusiasts seek faster boost response, more power, and a sharper turbo sound, the standard user often prefers quieter operation. This is why the factory IHI turbocharger is equipped with a turbo muffler, whose primary purpose is to reduce pulsations and noise.
The APR Turbo Muffler Delete removes this restriction and frees up the airflow after the turbine, improving response and allowing the turbo to operate more efficiently.
