The biggest problem with the restrictive factory turbo inlet becomes evident when increasing power. With Stage 1 / Stage 2 and especially with hybrid turbos, the OEM inlet becomes a serious "bottleneck" in the airflow path.
CTS Turbo engineers have designed this turbo inlet to be as large as possible, while maintaining a perfect fit to the factory turbo. This was achieved using 3D scanning and rapid prototyping technologies, ensuring accuracy and OEM+ integration.
The larger inner diameter provides significantly increased airflow, allowing the turbo to operate more efficiently and maintain maximum engine capacity.
In configurations with a TTE hybrid turbo, gains of up to 20 whp from the inlet change alone have been reported.
