The RacingLine Performance Intercooler VWR143000 is a high-efficiency intercooler developed specifically for the Audi RS3 8V.2 / 8Y and Audi TT RS 8S with the 2.5 TFSI EA855 engine.

The factory intercooler on the Audi RS3 and TT RS struggles to meet the demands of cars with higher power, software upgrades, or aggressive driving. Under heavy load, intake air temperature quickly rises, thermal saturation occurs, and the car begins to lose power precisely when it is expected to perform at its best.

RacingLine solves this problem with a massive Plate & Bar intercooler featuring a stepped core, designed to maintain low intake air temperatures repeatedly – without the need for long cooling periods after heavy use.

Compared to the factory cooler, the RacingLine intercooler offers 70% greater volume and 76.8% larger frontal area. This provides significantly better cooling capacity, more stable power, and improved durability during repeated accelerations.

RacingLine's goal was to find the right balance between maximum cooling and minimum pressure drop. Thus, the intercooler is significantly larger and more efficient without adding unnecessary turbo lag.

The cast end tanks are designed with internal air flow guides that direct air evenly across the entire depth of the core. This reduces turbulence, improves efficiency, and allows the system to operate stably under high loads.

The intercooler uses 70mm inlet and outlet, meaning it can be used with both factory boost pipes and enhanced RacingLine boost pipe / boost hose solutions for the 2.5 TFSI.

Installation

• For Audi RS3 8V.2 / 8Y, the installation is designed without cutting or drilling.
• The intercooler is designed to retain the car's original front crash bar.
• For Audi TT RS 8S, slight trimming of the front plastic panel is required.

Recommended Combination

• For maximum results, it can be combined with the RacingLine Boost Hose Kit / Boost Pipe Kit for 2.5 TFSI.
• Improved boost pipes and hoses help ensure even freer airflow between the turbocharger, intercooler, and throttle body.
