This is a small, but very meaningful preventive upgrade for the engine. Instead of a standard factory plug, RacingLine uses a magnetic tip that attracts and holds fine iron metal particles circulating in the engine oil.

During normal engine operation, microscopic metal particles from the natural wear of internal components can enter the oil. If they remain in the oil system, they continue to circulate and can contribute to further wear.

The RacingLine Magnetic Sump Plug helps to capture these particles and hold them on the magnetic tip of the plug. At the next oil change, the accumulated particles can be easily cleaned instead of continuing to pass through the lubrication system.

The more heavily the engine is stressed, the more beneficial this type of protection becomes. This is especially useful for dynamic driving, software-tuned cars, track use, or engines that regularly operate at higher temperatures and loads.
