The RacingLine Performance Diverter Valve is a high-quality upgrade for the factory pressure relief and control valve in VW, Audi, Cupra, and Skoda models with 2.0 TSI and 2.5 TFSI engines.
The factory valve often uses a plastic construction and diaphragm, primarily designed for quiet operation and low manufacturing cost. Under higher pressure, increased temperature, and repeated load, the diaphragm can deform, begin to leak pressure, or fail completely.
The result of a weak factory valve can be inconsistent boost pressure, slower throttle response, and a loss of power that often goes unnoticed until the car simply starts to feel more sluggish.
RacingLine solves this problem with a precisely engineered piston-type valve, made from T6-6061 aluminum. Instead of the factory diaphragm, the system uses a robust piston mechanism that provides more consistent pressure control even under higher loads.
This is especially important for cars with software upgrades, higher boost, or track driving. When the turbocharger builds pressure, the valve must hold it stable and react quickly between gear changes or during short throttle lifts.
