RacingLine Turbo Muffler Delete – 2.0 TSI EA888.4 245 HP

The RacingLine Turbo Muffler Delete VWR160000 is a precision upgrade for 2.0 TSI EA888 Gen.4 245 HP engines with a Garrett turbocharger.

The factory turbo muffler is located at the compressor outlet of the turbo. Its main task is to reduce noise in the engine bay, but this comes with a compromise – its internal shape creates turbulence and restriction exactly where the airflow should be as smooth as possible.

RacingLine replaces this factory restrictor with a precisely manufactured tapered Turbo Muffler Delete and an enlarged silicone connecting hose. This allows compressed air to exit the turbo through a smoother, wider, and less restrictive path.

The factory component has an internal diameter of 38mm, while the RacingLine design smoothly expands to 53mm. The kit also includes an internally stepped silicone hose that also transitions to 53mm to maintain a smooth transition without sharp edges and unnecessary turbulence.

The result is improved turbocharger response, a more noticeable throttle response, a slight power improvement, and a more pronounced turbo sound – without making major modifications to the vehicle.

The component is machined from a single piece of T6-6061 aerospace-grade aluminum using precise CNC machining. It is then hand-polished and anodized in a glossy Midnight Black finish, with a laser-etched RacingLine logo for a complete OEM+ look.

  • Installation takes approximately 30 minutes with hand tools.
  • Installation is reversible, and the vehicle can be returned to its standard configuration.
