The RacingLine Turbo Muffler Delete is a precision upgrade for 1.8 TSI and 2.0 TSI EA888 Gen.3 / Gen.3B MQB engines, designed to remove the factory restriction at the turbocharger outlet.

The factory turbo muffler is located at the outlet of the turbo's compressor housing. Its primary purpose is to reduce turbocharger noise in the engine bay, but this comes with a compromise – its internal shape creates turbulence and resistance exactly where airflow needs to be as smooth as possible.

RacingLine replaces this factory component with a smooth, single-piece aluminum part, engineered for maximum unrestricted airflow. Instead of disrupting the flow and creating unnecessary resistance, the Turbo Muffler Delete allows compressed air to exit the turbo more smoothly and with less loss.

The result is improved turbocharger response, a more noticeable throttle response, and a more pronounced turbo sound. This is an especially meaningful upgrade for vehicles with software tuning, an upgraded intake system, or other airflow enhancements.

The component is machined from a single piece of T6-6061 aerospace-grade aluminum using precise CNC machining. It is then hand-polished and anodized in a glossy Midnight Black finish, with a laser-etched RacingLine logo for a complete OEM+ look.
